To achieve a professional bond, ensure both surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Apply an even layer of the contact adhesive to both the subfloor and the back of the cork tiles using a brush or fine-notched spreader. Allow the adhesive to become “touch-dry” (usually appearing glossy and tacky) before firmly pressing the cork into place. For maximum adhesion, it is recommended to use a floor roller immediately after installation to eliminate air pockets and ensure full contact.
