Here’s the secret: traditional stains just sit on top of the wood, almost like a plastic film. But Cutek Extreme CD50 timber oil is a penetrating oil that actually stays active deep inside the wood fibres. Because there’s no surface film to crack, it simply can’t peel or flake off – brilliant, eh?

Do I need to sand my deck before reapplying Cutek?

No way, mate! This is one of the biggest advantages of Cutek. For maintenance, all you need to do is a simple wash with a deck cleaner to get rid of any dirt, then follow up with a fresh coat of oil. No sanding or stripping required for the entire life of your deck – how good is that?

Can I use Cutek CD50 on indoor timber furniture?

Absolutely, it’s excellent for any timber! Just keep in mind that it’s a “non-drying” oil that stays deep in the grain. For indoor surfaces like dining tables, you might prefer a hard-drying finish like Bona or Loba, unless you’re after a very natural, rustic feel.
